West Bengal has wonderful sea beaches
in the south on the shore of Bay of Bengal. Popular beaches are
Digha, New Digha and Mandarmoni. Digha is West Bengal's most popular
sea resort. Originally known as Beerkul, it is mentioned as the
"Brighton of the East" in one of Warren Hasting's letters (1780 AD)
to his wife. Mandarmoni is a virgin sea beach and the second widest
sea beach in the world. Thousands of small crabs crawl around the 13
km. long virgin beach making it look like a simmering field of the
red flower Mandar.. |

Day 1: Arrival at Kolkata and transfer to Hotel, Night stay
at Kolkata. (L,D)
Day 2: Travel to Digha a five hour journey in east midnapore.
Night stay in Digha. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Stay in Digha (B,L,D)
Day 4: Short trip to talsari, Tajpur, Shankarpur (fishing
Harbour) and then back to Digha, night stay at hotel. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Travel to Mandarmoni and transferred to Hotel. Night
stay at Mandarmoni. (B,L,D)
Day 6: Mandarmoni Stay (B,L,D)
